MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD NOVEMBER 10

Make your voice heard November 10 when an unprecedented number of people come together at the Executive Inn Rivermont to chart a course for the future of our community. We the People, a 21st Century Town Meeting will not just be another public forum. Hundreds of Owensboro-Daviess County residents will imagine possibilities, take action and work together toward an ideal 21st Century community.

The event will be coordinated by AmericaSpeaks of Washington, D.C. Participants will take part in face-to-face discussions. The latest technology will be used to identify community priorities and ensure that all ideas are heard and recorded.

We the People is modern day grass roots democracy in action. Dozens of volunteers have offered to help and generous individuals and organizations are underwriting the costs.

During this important community event, residents will be able to:

  • Identify community values and assets to create the area’s ideal 21st Century future.
  • Develop and prioritize strategies for an even greater Owensboro-Daviess
    County:
    • A Community Committed to Education and Learning
    • A Region of Opportunity and Appeal
    • A Uniquely Green and Clean Environment
    • A Healthy and Caring Community
    • A Government for the 21st Century
  • Gain a commitment to action from leaders and citizens.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and participants will receive a free T-shirt. Transportation, child care, large print materials, translation and signing interpretation will also be made available upon request.
