Juanita Boyd-Hardy

Juanita Boyd Hardy has over 33 years of business experience, 31 years with IBM, where she retired in 2005. Juanita is a Senior Associate for AmericaSpeaks and has been involved with the organization since 1999. Selected roles and projects with AmericaSpeaks include: member of the design team for Listening to the City, which united over 5000 NY citizens to discuss redevelopment of the World Trade Center and lower Manhattan in 2002 and the 2005 World Economic Forum at Davos to prioritize the top issues facing the world with global leaders, producer for the New Orleans Community Congress II and III, multi-site meetings with over 3000 New Orleans citizens (local and displaced) to formulate input to a unified rebuild plan, and Sacramento site moderator for CaliforniaSpeaks, a multi-site meeting to discuss health care reform with over 3500 California citizens in August 2007.

As Founder and Principal of Tiger Management Consulting Group, LLC, Juanita brings her expertise in managing large transformation initiatives to help organization's implement sustainable change. Selected clients include the District of Columbia, the City of Detroit, the State of New York, IRS, the City of Philadelphia, the State of New Jersey, Hawaii Medical Services Association, USAA, and the State of Maryland State Highway Administration. Her experience also includes software and systems engineering with clients ranging from the White House and Capitol Hill (Senate, House of Representatives, and Library of Congress) to US Postal Services and the Pentagon.

Juanita is a certified consultant by IBM's Professional Consultant Certification Program. She is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County's program on Entrepreneurship for Women in Technology (ACTivate) (2006). Additional leadership positions include: Advisory Council for the Women's Council on Energy in the Environment. Member of AmericaSpeaks Board of Directors. Former IBM sponsor representative to Women Executives in State Government (WESG) and Chair of its Sponsor Advisory Council. Member of the Leadership America's Class of 2001. Juanita has authored and presented many papers on strategic change, including, “Leading Change in the e-Information Age” at the District of Columbia's 2002 Advanced Leadership Forum and “Managing Change at the DC Department of Mental Health, a Case Study” at the Annual Conference for the National Council for Community Behavioral Health in 2003.
