As a Communications Manager, Darrick plays a role in planning and implementing public relations strategies for AmericaSpeaks' 21st Century Town Meeting® projects. A native of Louisiana, Darrick previously served as media relations coordinator for Gallaudet Universty.

On a personal note, Darrick is an adjunct professor at local colleges in the Washington area, teaching speech, interpersonal communication and media literacy. He plans to pursue a doctorate in public relations with an emphasis on studying the metamorphosis of agenda setting as it relates to social media.

Darrick received his master’s degree from American University and a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University.
